The assault took place during the night of April 23, when Russian unmanned aerial vehicles targeted various districts of Dnipro. According to Alexander Ganja, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, three adults were hospitalized with moderate injuries alongside the two children who were also admitted for treatment. Two of the hospitalized adults are women aged 62 and 68, while a 35-year-old man sustained injuries that did not require hospitalization.

The attack damaged apartments on the fourth and fifth floors of a residential building, igniting fires that extended to a nearby shop and a vehicle. Notably, a more severe wave of attacks on April 16 combined drone and ballistic missile strikes that killed four people and injured 34 others, destroying homes, garages, and school facilities.
